What you can expect after Laser Refractive Surgery Presbyopic LASIK or PRK
Your near vision will be improved. Your distant vision, if good pre-operatively (without glasses) will mostly remain the same. If you were using glasses for your distant and near vision then most of the time visual acuity will be improved for distant and near vision.
As with any laser surgery, Presbyopic laser surgery is also associated with a minor risk of undercorrection or overcorrection occurring. There are chances that either or both of your near or distant vision may not be improved or could even degrade. You may also be required to undergo enhancement or resurgery to improve your visual acuity.
As Presbyopia is progressive over the years, you may need to undergo resurgery after a few years or may need to start wearing glasses for near vision.
